Sterling Silver with sterling silver and 18ct gold wire.
I've been concentrating on making a small series of work. The sterling silver wire in this piece has been slightly blackened with lime sulphur.

This series started with the task of picking an object. I chose the human brain. And we then had to develop designs using that object as a starting point. I did alot of designs revolving around layers.... I was kind of thinking about the layers of the body and the veins that run through it. We also had to design these pieces with a commercial focus... we had to pick a place that sells jewellery and then try and make something that would suit being sold in that place. Tommorow I am going to show these pieces to a man that owns a jewellery gallery and get some feedback from him and hopefully some constructive critism. I am scared shitless at the thought of showing my work to him but I am forcing myself to take this step.
