Throwing myself to the world

Hello to anyone who reads my journals, or stumbles across this :-)

Over the past year I haven't had a chance to make much jewellery. I have however been doing alot of drawing and artworks.

One of my designs has been put on skin for the first time, I did some poster art for some friends gigs and I may be doing some illustration for a childrens book soon, I started writing for the sake of writing again, and for the first time I experienced what it's like to dance with no inhibition.

In July I am going to throw myself into the world. I will most likely be stopping off in Bangkok for a few days on my way to London. I'm hoping to make it to Cambodia, Angkor but I shall assess the situation when I get to Bangkok.

I'm packing up my stuff here and only holding on to some bare essentials. I don't know when I will come back or if I definately will. I suspect I will though as it just keeps on getting better and better. The plan is to have no plans except the essential ones and see what happens. I'm scared and excited. Scared and excited of the possibilities, of the unknown, of relinquishing control of being alone and of my minds capabilities.

If anyone knows of a web-site that could guide me to make an easy and basic website that I could use to show my jewellery to prospective employers please advise! I have been working in HR administration for the past while and have been enjoying this but I would like to explore possibilities of either doing similar work in a more creative environment, or more creative work. So, I would like to make either a power point presentation or use a simple website to show prospective employers my jewellery.

If anyone has experience travelling and working abroad I would love to hear your stories, tips, etc. If anyone has any contacts with employers... I am a New Zealand Citizen, hard worker, trustworthy...have experience in Jewellery Making, Metal Working, HR Administration, Court Administration, Social Work Administration, Customer Service, Hospo, Report Writing, Counselling, Tutoring. I'm open for suggestions and have a curious mind that finds interest in alot of things.

I'm in the process of getting my working holiday visa for the UK. There is no reason why I shouldn't get this. I should be eligible to work in the US and Canada for up to one year on a working holiday visa also.

Oh, if anyone has a couch.... ;-)

Just putting the word out there!

Hey Tommy, I made a wedding ring at the end of last year but apart from that I haven't made any jewellery for a bit. I went out to crystal mountain and got some very pretty stones in the weekend so expect some more jewellery for me soon. And there is quite a bit of other stuff from last year to post at some point. I've mainly been drawing lately tho.

:-)
